I’m glad you’re here as we work together to create a rhythm to pause, exhale, and reset for the week to come.
Last week, I shared how I was visiting the garden intentionally twice a day because changes were happening so quickly. Late spring rains and near-perfect temperatures have created ideal growing conditions—rapid growth in both the gardens and the vineyards.
While the season may be moving quickly, nature never skips steps. Nature takes one step at a time and always in the same order.
The vineyard may move quickly from bud break to bloom to fruit set, but a step is never skipped, and the vine gives no concern to the end destination. Nature simply keeps pace with a natural order.
Personally, I can become overwhelmed with how to get to the end result of something. I can spend way too much time researching, contemplating, and trying to find the perfect plan.
Consequently, I can simply get stuck or paralyzed when it comes to moving forward.
The vineyards are an amazing reminder to just take one step at a time.
One small change at a time. A little bit of growth each day. And then before you know it, it’s harvest. Pretty soon, the destination will be reached.
I need that personal reminder that I don’t have to take everything on at once, but simply take one small step at a time towards the right direction.
And when it comes to slowing down and living life unhurried, it comes one pause and one exhale at a time.
This week, when things feel too big or too much, take just the next small step. That’s all the vineyard ever does.
