LODI, Calif., Nov 14, 2022 – Harney Lane Winery (“Harney Lane” or the “Company”), fifth-generation, family-owned and operated estate-grown winery in the Lodi appellation, announces the addition of a sixth-generation family member to the business, serving in a leadership role. Kyle and Jorja Lerner, fifth-generation proprietors, welcome their daughter, Kirsten Lerner, as the Wine Club Manager.
“I’m proud to say we’re still family-owned after five generations,” said Jorja Lerner, daughter of the wineries first-generation vintner, George Mettler. When asked what the sixth-generation means to her, she stated, “not only is it a legacy and a history, but each generation has added something to it. My great-great-grandfather bought the property, and then my great-grandfather planted crops on it. They would have never expected it to be what it is now, but all of those pieces were important in laying the foundation. Everyone has contributed their piece.” Jorja added, “now Kirsten will also have the opportunity to leave her own mark.”
Lerner joins the Harney Lane Winery leadership team after earning her B.S. from California State University Sacramento. Prior to her new role in the family business, she served in a human resources role for a major automobile organization in the greater Sacramento region.
Kirsten joins the team with a leg up. She has witnessed the growth of the family-owned brand firsthand, and realizes the importance membership contributes to the future of the business. “As wine club manager, I want to not only continue something really amazing, but I want to better their [member] experience and do whatever I can to make sure they’re a part of a wine club they love. Building a wine club that reflects who Harney Lane is and the hard work that has gone into it, is incredibly important to me,” Kirsten stated.
With over a century on the estate, and now with the sixth-generation on the team, Harney Lane Winery continues its unwavering commitment to quality wine and experiences that positively influence the everyday lives of its members and guests.
