Grilling season is here! Warm nights, hot coals and full glasses of our grill-time favorites are what we look forward to most this time of year! Today we share our go-to BBQ rub that has stood the test of time! Whether you’re having salmon, flank steak, chicken or veggies, its sweet-smoky flavor has a little spice that works with all of it. A kiss of flame seals the deal.
This is a fun one to play with! Feel free to modify ingredients to suit your tastes. Want a little less spice? Cut down on the cayenne. A little more smoke? Amp up the chipotle. We substituted applewood smoked salt in place of plain sea salt, for example, and we are quite fond of the results.
If you are looking for a wine to pair, we honestly love them all, but our Zinfandels are a great place to start. Now, get outside and light up that grill!
